118 Movie starts off with Kalyan Ram waking up from his dream where he visualizes a girl being murdered at midnight and then he starts investigating as to why it’s happening and Who’s murder was that and why is she haunting him and he solves the whole mystery forms the rest of the story
Nandamuri KalyanRam who is been reeling under flops for a long time has stepped out of his comfort zone and tried a thriller genre. He has slipped into the investigative role quite easily. He looks very stylish with his well-toned body. Shalini Pandey and Nivetha Thomas Have got decent roles to play and they do their part well. Nasser goes overboard in a small role.
There are only two songs and they are just decent but gel well with the mood of the film. Sekhar Chandra scores with his BGM though. Cinematography by KV Guhan himself is very good while editing is very sharp with a very crisp runtime of 126 minutes. CG work could have been better. Production values are decent.
KV Guhan chooses a crime thriller genre for his directional debut and delivers for most part. He stays true to the genre and doesn’t deviate a bit from his proceedings. Screenplay is very racy in the first half and till the pre climax portions. After holding viewers interest for so long the flashback although emotional lacks the required punch. Kudos to him on his directorial debut and for delivering it.

Respite for Nandamuri KalyanRam after a long time. Credit to KV Guhan for keeping us hooked for the most part. Although the fictional part and pace of the narration towards the end could have been better, 118 is still a good crime thriller overall says our review. Watch it this weekend
