The pair of Prabhas and Anushka Shetty is always considered as one of the best onscreen pairs of the Telugu film industry. Both of them first acted together in the 2007 film Billa. Later, they got paired up after six years in the 2013 commercial entertainer Mirchi. After that, they worked together consecutively for the films Baahubali and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. After that, Prabhas acted in the film Saaho. Apparently, Anushka got offered to do a special song in this film. But she had to turn down the offer due to her prior commitments.
According to the sources, the makers of Saaho wanted to sign up Anushka for a special song in the film. They felt that she will be apt for that track. But Anushka was already committed to Nishabdham at that time and was shooting for it in the USA. Thus, she couldn't accommodate the dates for Saaho. After that, the makers dropped the idea of shooting that song. However, there was another special song in Saaho in which Jacqueline Fernandez shook her legs with Prabhas. Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho featured Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead. It got released amidst heavy expectations but flopped badly at the box office.
On the flip side, Anushka is currently prepping up for the release of her next film Nishabdham. It was actually supposed to release on April 2nd. But the makers have now postponed it due to the coronavirus outbreak. The new release date will get announced soon. Directed by Hemath Madhukar, Nishabdham features Madhavan, Anjali and Shalini Pandey in the other important roles.
