Pawan Kalyan's Kushi celebrates 19 years of its release tomorrow, here is a quick recap on the film

If you take out the list of best love stories in Telugu cinema, Kushi will definitely find its place. This SJ Suryah directorial remained as one of the classics in Tollywood. It also became a landmark film in the careers of the lead actors Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika Chawla. Kushi celebrates its 19th release anniversary tomorrow. Already, fans are trending the topic on social media and started pre-celebrations. On this occasion, let us revisit this timeless classic.

Kushi is the official remake of the 2000 Tamil film of the same name. The original version featured Vijay and Jyotika in the lead roles. But more than the original version, the Telugu version became a bigger hit. Pawan Kalyan's role as Siddhartha Roy and Bhumika's role as Madhu got etched in the minds of our memories. Kushi also made Pawan Kalyan a youth icon among the audiences. Recently, Bhumika also reminisced about her memories with the film. A couple of days back, she tweeted, "One of my all-time favorite songs- from my Telugu Film Kushi, for which I won the Best Actor ( Female ) — Filmfare award. Thank you to the producer A.M Ratnam, Director S j Suryah, and Pawan Kalyan ... for an amazing film." Another major asset for Kushi is the music composed by Mani Sharma. All the songs have become chartbusters and remained classics among the music lovers. Songs like Ye Mera Jahaan, Cheliya, Ammaye Sannaga, and Aduvari Matalaku ruled the charts for more than a year. It ran for 100 days 79 centers and 175 days in eight centers. This is the first industry hit scored by Pawan Kalyan.
