Mrunal Thakur, who is preparing to make her Telugu debut, has revealed that she underwent two months of intensive Telugu language training to perfect her on-screen pronunciation for the role in 'Sita Ramam.' Hanu Raghavapudi, Mrunal's official south Indian debut director, has helmed the film, which stars Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan.
Mrunal received private language training from Suvarna Majji, who coached him in person at her Mumbai home at times and via phone and video chats at other times. Mrunal worked for two hours a day for a month to master her Telugu pronunciation and grammar for 'Sita Ramam.'
Mrunal elaborates on her involvement in 'Sita Ramam,' saying: "The heartland of India has always piqued my interest. Characters develop from these situations that are likable, fascinating, interesting, and, most importantly, extremely genuine. I enjoy a good challenge, so the fact that people are applauding my performance as Sita in the film (based on their reactions to the trailer and songs) is a huge compliment to me."
"I took it upon myself to ensure that my diction in the film was spot on, and I always try to put myself in the shoes of my characters, so I went through diction training again for Sita Ramam," the 'Super 30' actress added.
Mrunal Thakur's next films include 'Gumrah' with Aditya Roy Kapoor and 'Pippa' with Ishaan Khattar, in addition to 'Sita Ramam.'
