Massive Protests Against CAA; Clashes In Aligarh University Over Police Action In Jamia
New Delhi: The protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) intensified on Sunday. The police action in Jamia Milia Islamia University since Sunday evening left many students injured. Delhi police detained many students from the campus during their demonstration against the CAA. In addition to the police action in Jamia, Delhi police entered Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and fired tear gas at students. Later, hundreds of students staged protest in front of Delhi Police headquarters over the actions. Following the clashes and violence, both the Universities will remain shut till January 5.
