Saaho Telugu Movie Movie Review - Story:

Roy (played by Jackie Shroff) is an undisputed king in Waaji city and will be controlling all the mafia activities. When he comes to India he is killed and the chair becomes open, with Vishwak (Roy son, played by Arun Vijay) expected to take it over. At the same time several others such as Mahesh Manjrekar, Chunkey Pandey, etc.., are interested to take that position.

On the other hand, robberies continue to happen in Mumbai and Ashok Chakravarthy (Prabhas) comes in as undercover police offer to solve these crimes. How these two threads go in together forms the rest of story with decent twists and turns.

Saaho Telugu Movie Movie Review - Performances:

*Prabhas is at his ease as usual, even though a better makeup would have made things better. He perfectly fits in this larger than life role. He is effortless in action sequences and it was treated to watch him performing some breathtaking stunts. But somehow, his 'Baahubali' charm is missing in this movie. It may be due to his dialogue delivery which is deliberately slow, but it works for the most part.

*Shraddha Kapoor is seen in her elements. She looks glamorous and charming. Somehow she manages to shine in her poorly written character. She is seen as a tough cop and her chemistry with Prabhas is good. *There is a major ensemble for rest of the cast and they are all adequate in their roles. It would have been good if the director focused on increasing those actors roles rather than having too many actors.

Saaho Telugu Movie Movie Review - Positives

*Background score by Ghibhran is top-notch and it carries the mood of the movie very well. BGM is major highlight of the movie without any second thought.

*Production values and making standards are rich as expected but special effects and CGI often lack the finesse that a film mounted on such a grand scale deserved *Cinematography by Madhie is excellent as the visuals are stunning and glossy throughout the film

Saaho Telugu Movie Movie Review - Negatives:

*Songs are a major disappointment as none of the songs are interesting on screen. Though few songs are chartbuster the untimely placement of songs only adds to an already long runtime.

*Though couple of them have good visuals the music is so uninteresting and gives dubbing song feels that audience cannot connect who are listening for the first time. *There are simply too many subplots and an average cine goer would struggle to understand at times. Movie sans logic in some cases and all in all doesn’t show the value for the budget that is being spent. *Storyline is weak with poor narrative and too many unwanted twists added with cliched screenplay and execution. *Editing could have been a lot better as the film run time is another major concern.

Saaho Telugu Movie Movie Review - Analysis and Verdict:

*Sahoo turned out to be a major disappointment. With all the expectations it has been carrying, it couldn’t go anywhere closer. Sujeeth followed a similar screenplay pattern that with did in his debut movie “Run Raja Run”, but with so many huge actors and stars playing those roles, the story couldn’t do any justice to their presence.

*It is very evident and clear that Bahubali has changed equations of how this movie was being made. The additional budget available to the director has simply enhanced everything. It goes well when it goes into production budget, but without strong characterizations and convincing story, simply spending over the top for action sequences cannot create any impact with audiences. *Certain unwanted additions to action sequences such as – Goons having Panther and Python as pets in the first fight, and hero wearing jetman suit catching heroine in the mid-air while she drops from a helicopter are simply overboard and unexpected of, from this supposedly slick action thriller. The overall movie doesn’t have any elements to engage the audience through its run time and is expected to end up as a colossal disaster given the scale of business it did.
