Uorfi Javed Registers A Police Complaint After Receiving Threatening Calls

Uorfi Javed visited the police station on Sunday due to threatening calls from an unknown man. Despite suffering from the flu, she filmed a video of herself sitting in her car outside the police station, sharing her experience. The man had threatened to physically harm her. Uorfi has received calls from someone who claims to be Neeraj Pandey's assistant. Uorfi stated that the man called her to arrange a meeting with Pandey. She requested all details of the project to be sent to her before the meeting. The assistant became angry and threatened to harm her because she refused to meet without proper information. Pandey has not commented on the matter. He is known for directing successful movies such as A Wednesday, Baby and Special 26.

Uorfi has previously been a victim of threats and abuse, when a broker sent her abusive audio clips and rape threats. Naveen Ranjan Giri, the accused, also threatened to kill the social media influencer. He was booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. The investigation is ongoing and the accused is still being sought after. Uorfi gained fame after appearing on Bigg Boss OTT in 2021. She recently made headlines after her clash with actor Ranbir Kapoor. On the show What Women Want, Ranbir criticized Uorfi's fashion sense, referring to it as "bad taste". However, Kareena Kapoor Khan praised Uorfi's fashion choices in a separate interview.
