Anasuya Bharadwaj is set to decline the Filmfare that she got for the current year and it is because of the bias shown. Filmfare awards event took place recently for the Bollywood movies and Gully Boy film grabbed a lot of awards in many categories. The film also got the Best Lyrics award which did not go well with a lot of people within the industry. Much better songs have come the same year in Bollywood and Teri Mitti is one such song from Kesari which got ignored by the jury. The lyricist of the song, Manoj Muntashir is the first one to speak on the issue. He said that he will never attend the award events again.

 
This inspired a lot of celebrities who have posted their reactions about the bias shown in the award events. Neha Bhasin is a singer who posted her response.
 
"We music industry make your films as much as your actors do @filmfare and we are stars too, our fans love us with all their might. If I can afford a certain standard of living n stature I refuse to be treated otherwise. I #BoycottFilmFare thank u @manojmuntashir for speaking up" she posted.
 
Telugu actress Anasuya Bharadwaj also rejected the award she got and posted a similar response. "Hence proved. I did so Neha for the year 2017.. @filmfare had the audacity to nominate and not invite the nominees because they wanted only "winners"..and this year they gave me an award as if I cared.. hope they realize its time they know that for us artists what real awards are".
