Tamil Nadu government opposes The Family Man 2 Web Series

Ever since the trailer of The Family Man 2 released online, it has been facing a lot of criticism from Tamils who allege that the show is against Sri Lankan Tamils and portrayes LTTE as a terrorist group. Despite criticism, Amazon Prime Video went ahead with the release of The Family Man 2. Directors like Bharathiraja, Seeman and Chiran have condemned the show's makers Raj and DK for portraying Tamils in bad light. Now, Tamil Nadu Minister, Mano Thangaraj, Mister of Information and Technology, said that they will approach the Union Government to ban the series.

Speaking to the media, Mano Thangaraj said, "The State Government can't ban a web show but the Union Government can do it. We have been urging them to ban the show as the creators have distorted the history of the Eelam Tamil war. It also hurts the sentiments of the Tamils." So far, Amazon Prime Video has not reacted to the demands of the netzens or the filmmakers. Tamil actists and filmmakers revealed that the show has not portrayed the history of Eelam Tamil War properly.
