Superstar Rajinikanth and His Wife Latha Help Transgenders

In regard to the nationwide lockdown to curb down the increasing number of cases of COVID-19, the global economy is at a standstill. All our lives got affected due to the pandemic, while the daily wage employees take a harder hit. None of them are able to survive, due to lack of income. The government is taking several measures to provide food and shelter for them. In lieu of this, many celebrities are coming forward to help out those in these desperate times. Recently, South Indian Superstar Rajinikanth made a significant donation. He made a contribution of Rs 50 Lakhs to FEFSI.

His fans refer to him as Thalaivar, and rightly so. Many other celebrities from the Kollywood industry have come forward for the same cause. His donation proceeded to help the Film Employees Federation of South India. Other than this, it is also true that he and his wife, Latha, helped out a few transgenders during this period. A report mentions that, few helpless transgenders reached his residence in Chennai, to seek assistance. A video shot slightly after this incident is circulating on twitter in praise of the star. In the video, the transgenders are wearing masks and praising Thalaivar and his family for their help. As reported by IndiaGlitz, this particular incident left Latha Rajnikanth in awe. She immediately reached out to donate some cash available on her at the moment, through her security staff. The word has it that she donated Rs 5000 for those transgenders. Nobody from Thalaivar’s residence seemed to lodge a complaint against those who arrived at their residence uninvited. The transgenders went on to deliver their blessings for the star’s family. Police have confirmed news regarding the same. Neither Superstar himself, nor anybody from his residence spoke about this incidence.
