Sonam Kapoor Plots Return With Blind

Sonam Kapoor is set to return to the big screen in the upcoming film Blind, directed by Shome Makhija, after taking a break to give birth to her son last year. The first look of the movie was recently shared by the director on Instagram. Shome gave fans a glimpse of the movie by sharing stills of Sonam from the film. Sonam will be playing the role of a blind police officer in the movie.

The photos show Sonam holding a gun during what seems to be target practice, wearing a neat bun and a black outfit. In the second and third photos, the actor is seen in different settings. One shows her looking angry at someone, while in the other photo, she appears shaken as a body lies on the floor in the background. Fans of the actor have expressed their excitement to see her on the screen once again after three years. One fan commented that Blind will be a treat for moviegoers. Blind is a remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name, and it centres around a blind police officer searching for a serial killer. The movie stars Sonam Kapoor in the lead role, with Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey in supporting roles. The shooting of the film took place in Glasgow, Scotland and was wrapped up in February 2021. Sonam had tied the knot with businessman Anand Ahuja in 2018, and the couple welcomed their baby boy last year. In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Sonam had spoken about her maternity break, saying that she took the time off to spend with her baby. She also stated that she has a lot to look forward to now that she is back, including the release of Blind. The actor was last seen in the 2019 film The Zoya Factor. And before that she was in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, alongside Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla. She also had a cameo appearance in Netflix's AK vs AK (2020), starring her father Anil Kapoor and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
