For Sundeep Kishan, 'Sigma' represents his biggest commercial outing to date. The actor, known for Tamil hits like 'Maanagaram', 'Raayan', and 'Captain Miller', calls the film "a cultural experience" rather than just a release. It will be his second film of 2026, following 'Super Subbu', a Netflix Telugu original where he plays a sex education teacher. The connection to 'Sigma' came through an unexpected route: Sundeep met Joseph Vijay during the pooja of 'Leo', where Vijay mentioned his son Jason Sanjay was preparing to direct and admired Sundeep's work. Months later, Jason Sanjay travelled to Hyderabad and delivered a two-and-a-half-hour narration. Sundeep said yes immediately.

'Sigma' marks the directorial debut of Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil star and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay. The film is composed by Thaman S and produced by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions. Sundeep describes the film as one that will "connect with children as much as it will connect with the older lot," calling it "a very cool film that's also a lot of fun."

The film releases theatrically in July 2026.
