Ram Pothineni goes off to Europe for a song shoot

After the super success of iSmart Shankar, Energetic Star Ram Pothineni has opted to do a crime thriller and signed the film Red. Directed by Kishore Tirumala, this film is an official remake of Tamil hit Thadam, which had Arun Vijay as the lead. It is a story of a police officer who is on a hunt for a criminal. But things get upside down when the cop realizes that the criminal has a lookalike. Thadam got released with fewer expectations but remained as one of the big hits in Kollywood last year.

Red is the third film in the combination of Ram and Kishore Tirumala, after Nenu Sailaja and Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi. This film went on floors a few months back and is nearing the completion of its shoot. Meanwhile, Ram has flown to Europe this morning for a song shoot. The actor got papped at Hyderabad Airport today in the morning, sporting a dapper look. Red features Nela Ticket fame Malvika Sharma and newbie Amritha Aiyer as the female leads. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is bankrolling the film under his banner Sravanthi Movies. The makers are planning to release Red on April 9. They will intensify the promotions from March.
