Kantara, directed by Rishab Shetty, is dominating the Indian box office. The Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil-dubbed version of Kantara is currently enjoying a triumphant run in theatres. As everyone from every angle is praising the movie, it is clearly the winner. Ram Gopal Varma, a filmmaker who is never afraid to express his opinions, recently discussed Kantara on Twitter once more. He claimed that a small movie like Kantara had defeated all the heavy hitters.
Ram Gopal Varma praised the Kannada movie Kantara on his Twitter account, saying that it has overcome any linguistic barriers to captivate spectators with its message. "Just when all Filmwallas came to the conclusion that only SUPER STARS, MASSIVE PRODUCTION VALUES, and SPECTACULAR VFX can bring people to theatres, a small tiny film with no names #Kantara is breaking all the records of the BIGGIES", he tweeted.
Not just RGV has applauded the movie; many other industry celebrities from Tollywood, Kollywood, Sandalwood, and Bollywood have as well. One of the first few Tamil superstars to see and enjoy Kantara was Dhanush. Kangana Ranaut, Shilpa Shetty, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, and Kichcha Sudeep all praised the movie.
Kantara, a film by Rishab Shetty, has recently pulled in a 100 crore collection worldwide and is currently trending on social media. The movie has surpassed the Yash-starring KGF: Chapter 2 to become the highest-rated Indian film on IMDb.
Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty are among the other actors who appear in Kantara. He has also agreed to take on the role of the movie's protagonist. Rishab plays a Kambala champion in the movie. It is a story that takes place in the imaginary forest of Kantara, where certain customs lead to a battle between man and nature. Homable Films, the KGF-fame producers, are funding it.
In the meanwhile, Rishab Shetty discussed the potential of Kantara 2 in an interview. "No comments because right now the focus is on Kantara. We will think about the sequel later. Nevertheless, we tried several sub-plots for the film. We call it 'upakatha'. So we have sub-plots options for the sequel", he said.
