Police case filed on Kangana Ranaut for defending her sister's hate speech
Kangana Ranaut is currently in Himachal Pradesh and could not return home because of the lock down period and she is facing criticism for supporting the sister
We are already aware that Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel's twitter account got suspended a few days back, due to her hate speech. Recently, Kangana posted a video defending her sister. She said that her sister's words got misinterpreted. Condemning Kangana's support to Rangoli and her hate speech, police compliant got filed on the actress in Mumbai.
The complaint got filed by Mumbai-based advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh. In his statement, Deshmukh said that while one sister called out for the killing and violence, the other sister came in to defend the act. He also accused Kangana and Rangoli of misusing stardom, fanbase, fame, money, power and influence with an aim to promote hatred, misbalance and fights in the country.
In her video, Kangana said that there was nothing offensive in Rangoli's tweet. She said that Rangoli's words got misinterpreted. She further added that if anyone truly finds Rangoli's tweet offensive, both of them will publicly apologize. Kangana also stated that celebrities like Farah Ali Khan and Reema Kagti made false allegations on her sister.
This is not the first time both Kangana and Rangoli landed in a controversy. Both of them have become familiar faces in controversies for a long time. We have to see how far will this go on.
Meanwhile, Kangana has recently donated Rs. 5 lakhs each to FEFSI and the daily wage workers of her film Thalaivi. Directed by AL Vijay, Thalaivi is the biopic of Jayalalitha. Starring Aravind Swamy and Prakash Raj in the other important roles, this film will hit the screens in the second half of this year.
