There aren't many movies like Sarpatta Parambarai that have given the majority of their actors their big break. Due to her outstanding performance, Dushara Vijayan, who played Mariyamma in that movie, won over many fans. Her acting skills were also put to the test by the character's development from a modest bride-to-be in love to a wife who confronts her alcoholic husband.

On August 31, Pa Ranjith's sixth feature film, Natchathiram Nagargirathu, was released in theatres across India, and the movie is having a successful run in the theaters.
