OTT platforms have become more popular in the last couple of years. People started opting for home entertainment than the theatre-viewing experience. The expansion of OTT platforms in India gave birth to many Indian original web series and films. Now, we have got a dedicated Telugu OTT platform called Aha. This streaming platform got launched a couple of months ago. Right after its launch, Aha managed to bring a few original shows. One of them is Mastis. This urban drama series got created by popular director Krish Jagarlamudi. The first season got a good response from the audience. Boosted by the positive response, Krish is now penning down the script for the second season.
According to the sources, Krish has already chalked out the structure of the second season. He is now using this lockdown period to script the episodes of it. The story of Mastis revolves around a pub and the people associated with it. Navdeep, Raja Chembolu,
Hebah Patel, Chandini Chowdary, and Bindu Madhavi played the lead roles in this web series. We hear that all of them will reprise their roles in the second season as well.
The other Telugu originals made by Aha include Kotha Poradu, Shit Happens, Sin and Locked Up. All of them got a good response from the audiences.
Meanwhile, Krish is currently working on his next film with
Pawan Kalyan as the lead. Touted to be a period drama set in the Mughal era, this film will hit the screens next year. AM Ratnam is bankrolling the project.
