Suzanne Turquotte, the mother of Katrina Kaif, recently shared a post on 'respect'. This came after Neetu Kapoor posted, "Just because he dated you for 7 years, it doesn't mean he will marry you. My uncle studied medicine for 6 years, now he is a DJ." Many on the internet believed that Suzanne's post was in response to Neetu's, but the actor's mother has since clarified that it was not aimed at anyone. Without naming anyone, Suzanne added a caption to her previous post stating that it was not directed towards any comments made on social media.
On Monday, Suzanne shared a quote on Instagram that sparked a debate among social media users. The quote read, "I was raised to treat the janitor with the same respect as the CEO." Some came out in support of Suzanne, while others dismissed Neetu Kapoor's post as generic.
Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor reportedly dated for a few years, appearing together in films such as Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), Raajneeti (2010) and Jagga Jasoos (2017). They parted ways sometime between 2016 to 2017, as per reports. In 2019, Katrina spoke to Mid-Day about their break up, saying, "We still have respect for each other, and that will not change."
Katrina went through her separation around the same time one of her sisters did, and she found solace in reading and the support of her friends. She has no regrets about that chapter and believes she has come out of the experience more mature.
After their break up, Ranbir went on to date Alia Bhatt and eventually married her. Katrina secretly dated Vicky Kaushal for a few years and married him in 2021.
