Star hero Kamal Haasan filed a petition in Madras High Court alleging that the police officers are harassing him in the case of recent mishap happened on the sets of Indian 2. We are already aware that three crew members lost their lives when a crane fell on them, on the sets of Indian 2 last month when the shoot was happening at EVP Studios of Chennai.
The cops of the crime branch are questioning many people who were present when the accident took place. Kamal Haasan and director Shankar were also present at the location when the mishap happened. Thus, police are questioning them as well. In his statement, Kamal said that police are harassing him in the name of questioning. Apparently, the cops have asked the actor to enact the scene that happened at the location. The actor also claimed that none of the actors got called by the police and this is a clear case of intent.
Earlier, Kamal Haasan's party Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) also stated that the cops are harassing Kamal as per the instructions of the government. They claimed that the ruling party wants to shut Kamal's mouth in this way as he is constantly pestering them. Meanwhile, director Shankar also got questioned by the cops for more than three hours but he didn't file any complaint on them.
Indian 2 features Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead. Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh are playing the other important roles in the film. It is being bankrolled by Subhaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner.
