Producer Dhananjayan, who bankrolled Kaatrin Mozhi, the Tamil remake of Hindi blockbuster Tumhari Sulu, is turning a new leaf in his career. The producer is also a part of the content creating a team for a YouTube channel called Cinema Central, where he churns out box office collection of several films.
Now, the producer is turning a director with his own script. In an interview with several portals, Dhananjayan revealed that he wrote the script and screenplay and was looking for a director to helm the film. However, Dhananjayan’s wife pushed him to take up the mantle.
His wife, who is producing the film, reportedly gave him the much-needed confidence to direct the film. Dhananjayan is presently busy with finalizing the rest of the cast and crew which will announce shortly. The untitled film will go on floors in January 2020.
Meanwhile, Dhananjayan has also written the screenplay and dialogues of the upcoming film Kabadadaari, which stars Sibi Sathyaraj and Vishwaroopam actress Pooja Kumar in the lead roles. Dhananjayan is also a national award winner for his book, Pride of Tamil Cinema.
