Taking to Twitter and joining in the protest many Bollywood stars came in support of the protests against the metro project. Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor have also expressed their views on falling of trees in Aarey.

Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor among other Bollywood stars express anger over the falling of trees in Aarey.

Ever since the Bombay high court dismissed all the petitions against the Metro project, officials began the shedding of trees almost instantly. Cutting down around 400 trees in a single night. A large crowd of activists rose up against this in protest around the Aarey colony. Expressing their anger and frustration.

However the anger didn't just come out of the common masses but from multiple big names of Bollywood too. Farhan Akhtar voiced his opinion on Twitter, writing "Cutting trees at night is a pathetic attempt at trying to get away with something even those doing it know is wrong. #Aarey #GreenIsGold #Mumbai."

Shraddha Kapoor who had earlier joined the live protest uploaded various screenshots on Instagram of articles on Aarey. She also added This is wrong and should not be happening" and "Mumbaikars wake up".

Other Bollywood stars like Dia Mirza and Richa Chadda all came in support of the protests and called the government's action as wrong. All of whom also voiced their opinion on the need to be preserving these trees.

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar were two big names who supported the building of the metro shit in the last few weeks.
