Director SP Jananathan critically ill, found unconscious

In a shocking news, director SP Jananathan has been admitted to the Intensive Care unit at the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai. On march 11, when his asisstant directors went to his house, he was found lying unconcious in his room. After seeing him in that state, his assistant called for an ambulance and was rushed to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai. Reportedly, Jananathan was overseeing the editing of his upcoming film Laabam, which stars Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. He had gone to his home for lunch and did not return to the editing suite, which pushed one of the assistants to check on him.

According to reports, Jananthan is extremely critical. Reportedlly, he has been declared brain dead. However, it has not been officially confirmed by the family. His family relatives are waiting for a neurosurgeon to confirm further treatment. News about Jananathan's health came as a huge shock to everyone. Jananathan is known for directing award-winning films such as Iyarkai, Peraanmai, Ee and Purampokku Ennum Podhuvudaimai. After a long time, he was going to make a comeback with Laabam.
