Chiyaan Vikram, the star of the Ponniyin Selvan film, gets hurt while filming his upcoming period drama Thangalaan. A statement about the actor's condition is released by his publicist.
Chiyaan Vikram is currently filming Thangalaan while also delivering a spectacular performance as Aditya Kariklan in Ponniyin Selvan 2. However, he suffered a setback as he was injured on the set of the film during a rehearsal. According to a statement the actor's publicist sent, he is currently taking a break from filming.
Vikram sustained a rib injury during the rehearsals for his upcoming Thangalaan. He expressed gratitude to everyone for the love and said he would rest till he felt better. A statement issued by his publicist. It read, "Thank you for all the love and appreciation Aditha Karikalan aka Chiyaan Vikram has received and for the astounding response to PS 2 from all over the world. Chiyaan sustained an injury during rehearsals resulting in a broken rib due to which he will not be able to join his Thangalaan unit for a short while. He thanks everyone for your love and promises to be back on his feet and rocking at the earliest".
Director Pa Ranjith himself directed and wrote the historical drama. The movie stars Chiyaan Vikram as the head of a Tamil Nadu tribal community. The movie's female roles are played by Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan. Senior actor Pasupathy plays a crucial part. The movie also stars Pasupathi, Harikrishnan Anbudurai, and Preeti Karan. The soundtrack for the movie is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The director of photography is Kishor Kumar. Selva is the editor. Neelam Productions and Studio Green are the financiers of the movie.
