Censor Board eases the rules and directs the producers to get the movies censored online; the Regional Censor Board confirms the same

Corona Crisis is evident in all the industries, including the movie industry. From the time the lockdown started in the entire nation, there is no activity related to the movies. Except for the post-production activities here and there, the entire country is silent in terms of film-related activities. Meanwhile, some of the producers are planning to get their movies for a grand release on the OTT platforms directly. Interestingly, some of the producers have their movies ready but they could not complete the censor formalities. The producers appealed to the government to come up with a plan for the same. The National censor board came up with a response for these producers which is happy news. Apparently, the National censor board asked the producers to apply for the censor online and get the film censored online itself. Usually, the producer of the film will have to reach out to the regional censor board office and complete the formalities. But, of late, the censor board members will attend the screening theatre as per the convenience of the producer. The board issues the certificate via email. Now, the board asked the producers to send a hard-disk or the film in QUBE format. A regional censor board member in Hyderabad, V Balakrishna confirmed the same. The same is reported on Telugu360. After watching the film, the board members will issue the certificate online. This is a big relief for the producers who are waiting for the lockdown to end. They will now avail of this opportunity and get their films censored.
