Usually, actors resort to saying the same thing in different ways, but not Brad Pitt. This A-list celebrity knows how to keep his audience engaged. Even if he could not attend the BAFTAs, he spread humor through Margot Robbie, who read his speech out for him. At the Golden Globes, Brad cracked a joke on his dating life and said: “ wanted to bring my mom but I couldn’t because any woman I stand next to, they say I’m dating, and it would just be awkward.”
Accepting his SAG award he said: “I gotta add this to my Tinder profile.”At the BAFTAs, through Robbie, he said: “Hey, Britain. Heard you just became single,” Pitt said at the BAFTAs via Robbie, in reference to Brexit. “Welcome to the club!” Referencing Titanic at the Golden Globes, he said he would have made room for Leonardo on the raft, unlike Rose (Kate Winslet’s character). “He's an all-star, he's agent, and I wouldn't be here without you, man. I thank you. Still, I would've shared the raft,” Pitt had said.
The most famous of all jokes was his dig at the British Royals. Holding up Brad Pitt's BAFTA Award, Margot Robbie read his joke: "Oh, and he says that he is gonna name this Harry ‘cause he is really excited about bringing it back to the States with him. His words, not mine, thanks." This directed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to spend more time in North America after taking a step back from their duties as British royals.
The actor won Best Support Actor at the BAFTAs recently. People await the Oscars results with bated breath.
