Bollywood celebrities show solidarity to Maharashtra Police by changing the DPs to the latter's logo

During this coronavirus pandemic, every one of us is staying home. But doctors, police officers and municipal workers are attending their duty regularly to make sure that we are safe. Especially, the police officers deserve special credit. During these summers, they are working in the scorching heat every single day. They are making sure that the lockdown is being implemented as per the government regulations. To show solidarity to them, Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh decided to change his profile pictures on social media to Maharashtra Police's logo. He also urged his followers to do the same. Now, many Bollywood celebrities are also changing their DPs, as a sign of respect towards Maharashtra Police.

Anil Deshmukh started this trend. He tweeted, "Maharashtra Police has stood by citizens thro' calamities, attacks & disasters. Today as they lead the war on Corona on the streets, I've decided to celebrate them by changing my DP on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc to the Maharashtra Police logo. Join me in this endeavor." Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan also changed his DP this evening. He stated, "I stand in solidarity with Maharashtra police @DGPMaharashtra. Thank u to @AnilDeshmukhNCP @MumbaiPolice for relentless efforts in the face of this adversity. Very grateful to doctors, medical staff, health workers who are leading the fight against the virus on the frontlines." Another star heroAkshay Kumar has also joined this initiative. He tweeted, "Every day I hear incidents of the bravery of our frontline workers who are putting fear & exhaustion aside and putting us first. One such hero is our Maharashtra Police, I’m changing my DP to theirs as a mark of respect. Join in, together let’s say #DilSeSalute to them. @DGPMaharashtra." Other celebrities who changed their DP include Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Sonu Sood, Ananya Panday, Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha, Dia Mirza and many others.
