Bigil reigns on top at overseas box-office beating all Bollywood films

Vijay’s Bigil, directed by Atlee hit the theatres on October 25 and is having a dream run at the box office. The sports-drama stars Vijay, Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Daniel Balaji, Indhuja Ravichandran, Varsha Bollamma and Amritha Aiyer in pivotal roles.

The film is casting its spell at the box office by beating all Bollywood records in the international market in its opening weekend. On Friday, the film began its run at box-office by collecting $3.6 million worldwide. The film’s opening weekend collection ended with $7.34 million. In addition, Bigil is the second-highest opening weekend grosser by making $7.35 million. Vijay starrer missed beating Prabhas’s Saaho by a considerable margin. The Sujeeth directorial remains on top by grossing $7.8 million. Bigil is closely followed by Bollywood film War. Apart from the US, Bigil is also doing well in other countries namely Sri Lanka, UAE, Singapore and Europe.
