AR Rahman returns to Hollywood after a break

AR Rahman made his debut as a composer in Mani Ratnam's Roja, which released in 1992. with back to back hits, Rahman climbed up the success ladder in a short span of time and made the entire country sit up and take notice of his talent. It was Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire that made everyone proud. He won two Oscars that night also spoke in his mother tongue at the stage. After the much-needed recognition, AR Rahman continued to sign many Hollywood films and worked in several big projects. However, he has been on a break for some time now.

American media channels have now reported that AR Rahman is all set for a grand comeback. Reportedly, he has signed many interesting projects which are yet to be announced. His film 99 songs, written and produced by him is expected to release soon through Jio worldwide. He also has Le Musk, which is another interesting project based on virtual reality. In India, he has Mani Ratnam's period film Ponniyin Selvan, Vikram's Cobra with director Ajay Gnanamuthu and Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan with director Ravikumar at different stages of production.
