AR Rahman made his debut as a composer in Mani Ratnam's Roja, which released in 1992. with back to back hits, Rahman climbed up the success ladder in a short span of time and made the entire country sit up and take notice of his talent. It was Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire that made everyone proud. He won two Oscars that night also spoke in his mother tongue at the stage. After the much-needed recognition, AR Rahman continued to sign many Hollywood films and worked in several big projects. However, he has been on a break for some time now.
