After Ramayana, netizens are now urging Doordarshan to bring back Shaktimaan

Doordarshan earlier announced that it will be releasing the iconic Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan once again on public demand.

After Ramayana, netizens are now urging Doordarshan to bring back Shaktimaan

Amid the 21 day lockdown that the country is currently under, many are now rejoicing as Doordarshan brings back Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana. Prakash Javadekar who is the information and broadcast minister took to Twitter on Friday to announce the re-release of the iconic show. He tweeted writing, " Happy to announce that on public demand, we are starting to retelecast of 'Ramayana' from tomorrow, Saturday, March 28 in DD National, One episode in morning 9 am to 10 am, another in the evening 9 pm to 10 pm."

 
Soon after the news about Ramayana emerged many fans are now demanding Doordarshan to bring back other iconic 90s shows. One of these shows is the Indian superhero show titled Shaktimaan. Shakitmaan starred Mukesh Khanna in the role of the red spandex-wearing superhero.
 
Shakitmaan derives power from Hindu sages in the show. He is a protector of the weak and feeble against demonic powers.
 
Another Twitterati took to his social media to write, " “ Captain Vyom, Malgudi Days, Chandrakanta, Surbhi, Bharat Ek Khoj, Alif Laila, Jasoos Vijay, Flop Show, Turning Point. I know I may be missing a few. But these are some of the best I could remember."
 
Another fan of these popular 90s show wrote, "Seems like my Golden Days are back. Also request, if Alif Laila, Arabian Nights, Jungle Book, Om Namah Shivaay, Ducktales, Talespin, Shaktimaan, Chandrakanta, Captain Vyom, Mahabharat, can also be taken into consideration. So happy to hear about Ramayana."
 
While there is no way Doordarshan will bring back all of these shows it will be interesting to see if the consider bringing some of it back on popular demand.
