Coronavirus shutdown is not just a relaxing time for the star heroes in Bollywood like Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn but also a loss of livelihood for a lot of daily wage workers.
The widespread ongoing transmission of respiratory illness caused by the novel (new) coronavirus (COVID-19) has been affecting the economy of so many countries and is doing more or less the same damage to the Bollywood film industry as well. Many shoots in and around Ooty have come to a halt now. Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan's movies came to a halt because of the virus outbreak.
The release of so many big movies got halted because of the theatres' lockdown and all the shootings of the film also got halted. Due to Coronavirus, most of the studios have got locked. Star siren Alia Bhatt became the sufferer of Corona Virus and has additionally gone on to movie Sadak 2. A schedule this Mahesh Bhatt's upcoming movie was taking place in Ooty but has now come to a halt. The authorities from Maharashtra have banned the shooting of all movies from 19 March to 31 March.
Movies that are coming out from Dharma productions also got halted. Releases of Aamir Khan starred 'Lal Singh Chadha', Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey', Akshay Kumar's 'Prithvi Raj' also got postponed. The new schedule of Salman Khan's upcoming movie 'Radhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai' also got cancelled. The makers planned to shoot the film in Thailand. But, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the shooting got stopped. Actor Ajay Devgan has suffered from Coronavirus too.
So, he has not been able to shoot the important sequence from his upcoming movie 'Bhuj – The Pride of India'. Corona has locked Bollywood as well. The movies that lined up to get released and the makers who planned for foreign shootings are now incurring huge losses.
