Cobra, Chiyaan Vikram's recently released movie, failed to impress. Both critics and viewers gave it unfavorable reviews. As a result, the movie didn't bring in a lot of money at the box office. It hardly added any money to its total collection on Day 3. The weekend is very important for Cobra because it will influence how long the movie will be shown in theatres.
Ajay Gnanamuthu's Cobra, starring Chiyaan Vikram, was released in theatres on August 31 to a lot of fanfare. The movie got off to an energetic start at the box office. Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade analyst, stated that Cobra had the worst first week Friday of the year. He said, "Yet another DULL day for #Cobra. Bookings and Occupancy are very less than yesterday. The LOWEST 1st week Friday of the year (sic)."
Cobra, which was directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, is Chiyaan Vikram's first theatrical release in three years. Together with his son Dhruv and the Cobra crew, he saw the movie's first showing. The movie also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Mirnalini Ravi, KS Ravikumar, and Roshan Mathew in significant parts in addition to Vikram. For the movie, AR Rahman wrote the score.
