Nisha (Trishna Mukherjee) is an orphan. She works as a proof-reader and lives alone in a flat. One day she meets Arjun (Venkat Rahul), a cinematographer. They develop friendship and slowly falls in love. When Arjun leaves to another city for his film's shoot, Nisha develops a strange psychological attitude because of which she lands in an asylum. What's wrong with Nisha? Did Arjun come back? What happens in the end? is the story of the movie.
The film runs around the characters of Nisha and Arjun. Trishna Mukherjee played the character Nisha and she failed to impress. The way she carried herself on the screen and her body language is completely unrealistic. People get disconnected from her role and her way of portraying the emotions. Also, a poorly written role also added as a reason for Trishna not getting elevated on the screen properly. Venkat Rahul who acted in Aliyas Janaki played the romantic interest of Trishna in the film. Venkat too hardly impresses with his performance. His screen presence and dialogues are unnatural. Anish Kuruvilla played a small and half-baked role in the film. He looked good on the screen and played the grey character well. There are quite a few other actors who hardly made any attempt to make their presence felt.
The technical team is a big plus and a positive element for this movie. The visuals of the film are stunning. DI work is impressive. Abhiraj Nair is the cinematographer of the film who deserves maximum appreciations. The background score by Naresh Kumaran is good only in a few scenes. The production design of the film is neat. VFX work is well in some scenes.
The writing is very poor in the movie. The dialogues in most of the scenes are not natural. The characters do not have completeness and it is a big minus point. We do not travel with any character in the film and thus, whatever happens on the screen just happens with the audiences getting bored. For most of the movie, the background score is too loud. From the beginning to the end, there is only one track that gets repeated and gave boredom. The makeup for the heroine when in asylum projects her as a completely different person. The loose ends and the backstories are too far from reality and hardly convinces the audiences.
The writing is problematic in the film. The film looks like a revenge drama in one angle, and it looks like a psychological drama in one angle, also appears as a psychological thriller in another angle. At the same time, the film also looks like a boring and preachy psychological class that offers nothing worthy enough to the brain. We do not get a connection with any of the characters in the film, including the heroine, whose story we are watching. The director tried to execute different things at a time and not even one fully. Although the film tests the patience, the less run time is a positive factor. The film does not make any positive impression and hardly offers any high moments.
