Kshana Kshanam Review:

Arjun Reddy fame Jia Sharma has come up with her new Telugu movie titled Kshana Kshanam. Uday Shankar played the lead role. With Ram Gopal Varma's super hit title, the film unit has come up with an interesting thriller. With Geetha Arts grabbing the film's distribution, everyone expressed interest in this small movie. The movie released today in theatres.

Coming to the story of the movie, the film is set in a Vizag backdrop. Satya (Uday Shankar) marries Preethi (Jia Sharma). Both are orphans and they think their life would be good in each other's company. Preethi is someone who is obsessed with money-making. She is never happy with her husband or the money that he gets home. In such a scenario, troubles grew between them and they even decide to get a divorce. Satya is into the fishing business and he encounters loss. In order to avoid humiliation from his wife, he befriends a married woman Maya (Shruti Singh), and decides to go on a date night with her at her home. When Satya reaches there, he finds her dead. The cops arrest him and begin their investigation. The rest of the film goes on the thread of investigation to find the real culprit behind the murder and establishing a relation between Satya and Maya. Also, the film traces the relationship between Preethi and Surya further on.

The film's story is very routine. Similar plots have been explored on the Telugu screen already, in the past. This is no first time that a film like this has surfaced and what's more surprising is the execution pattern that the director took on. The execution is weak and there is hardly anything interesting about the film. Performances-wise, Uday Shankar tried his best to portray multiple emotions that his character exhibits. He is good in some scenes but appeared artificial in some. Jia Sharma is beautiful on the screen. She should focus more to get opportunities in big films. Her screen presence is excellent. The rest of the actors do not have much role to perform. Actors like Ravi Prakash, Raghu Kunche, and others are okay. Music director Kotu makes his debut as an actor in the film in lawyer's character.

The film's narrative structure is also unimpressive. There are many loose ends in the script which fail to impress. The first half of the movie is dead slow and a lot of time goes into the establishments. The second half, however, is a bit engaging with a couple of twists and some interesting scenes. Technically, the film is average. The technical aspects could not save the film from drowning. The camera work is just okay. The music is unattractive. The background score is also not up to the mark. A few dialogues are good but a few did not suit the situations in the movie. Kshana Kshanam has got interesting actors but a weak script tied their hands.

Kshana Kshanam Verdict:

On the whole, the film is just another passable flick.
