Yash's KGF2 Gets A New Release Date, Fans Demand Official Update

Director Prashanth Neel and Kannada actor Yash have dedicated nearly five years of their career to the KGF franchise. Produced by Hombale Films, KGF chronicles the journey of Rocky, played by Yash, who becomes the messiah of masses in the Kolar Gold Fields. While the first part titled KGF: Chapter 1 showcased the rise of Rocky, KGF: Chapter 2 follows the fall of Rocky. KGF: Chapter 1 was released in theatres in 2018 in multiple languages and received thunderous responses from people across the country. It has been three years since the first part was released, the second part is yet to see the light of the day.

Earlier, KGF: Chapter 2 was slated to release on Dussehra 2020. Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the team couldn't complete the film on time. Hence, they postponed the film to July 16. However, the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic played spoilsport in their plans. Now, reports suggest that the makers have finalized the film's new release date. According to sources, KGF: Chapter 2 will release in theatres in December 2020 when the theatres run with full occupancy. Now, theatres are slowly opening and it might be a while before they run with 100 percent occupancy.
