This Is The Reason For The Failure Of That Mammootty Film; Shaji Kailas Opens Up.

Drona is a 2010 film directed by Shaji Kailas, starring Mammootty. Mammootty played a double role as Pattazhi Madhavan Namboothiri and Kunjunni, and the audience had high hopes for the film.

The film, which featured Navya Nair, Manoj K. Jayan, Kaniha, Thilakan, and others in lead roles, failed at the box office. In an interview given to Indian Cinema Gallery, Shaji Kailas explains the reason for the film's failure.

"Three or four films have become utter flops. Then I thought to refresh my mind. I make mistakes in my decision making. I thought I should purify myself. If you sit down and shoot, it will go wrong. I decided to control myself. I thought I would go away for a few days. That's how the break was taken.

The problem for Drona is that the halves have changed. Later I thought I wish I had taken it another way. It was correct. People liked Mammootty's character shown in the first half. Didn't like the character in the second half. It would have been better if that thing had been changed. It was only then that I understood. In other words, a character loved by the people died and then there was another movie with another character in the second half. Then the movie went to another spiritual level.

At first the character was natural. Two differences were shown there. People did not like the spiritual character. It was difficult for the audience to digest. That is the failure of that movie. Decisions were wrong," said Shaji Kailas.
