Simbu's Maanaadu Remake And Dubbing Rights Snapped Up By Suresh Productions

Director Venkat Prabhu's Maanaadu features Simbu and SJ Suryah in lead roles. The film was released in theatres in November 2021 and became a blockbuster hit. The political thriller deals with the concept of a time loop. Maanaadu's concept may be familiar to the Telugu audience as Amala Paul's Kudi Yedamaithe also dealt with a similar concept. Now, Maanaadu is all set to be remade in Tamil and other languages as well. Producer Suresh Babu acquired the remake rights of Suresh Productions for a huge sum. Along with the remake rights, Suresh Productions have also acquired the dubbing rights of the film.

In a statement, Suresh Productions wrote, "Suresh Productions has acquired the official remake rights of the Tamil blockbuster Maanaadu in all Indian languages, along with the theatrical dubbing rights in Telugu (sic). Maanaadu's story follows a man who is stuck in a time-loop. The loop restarts every time he dies. Simbu and SJ Surya are stuck in the time loop and they need to discover the purpose of their existence. Maanaadu also dealt with many other themes such as communal tension, religion and more.
