The streaming service Prime Video and Shahid Kapoor shared the first teaser for his OTT debut Farzi. The new web series, which will also have Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, and Kubbra Sait in significant roles. Regina Cassandra, Zakir Hussain, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Raashi Khanna are also featured. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of The Family Man fame will direct the series.
In the brief video, Shahid could be seen gazing at the camera while working on a canvas inside a studio. Then he adds, "Meri life ka Naya phase. Kya logon ko pasand ayega? Par artiste toh artist hota hai, nahi (my life's new phase, but will people like it? But an artist is an artist, right)?" As Shahid exits the frame, the viewer can see his vibrant abstract painting with the words "Farzi" inscribed in yellow. Shahid then winks while gazing into the camera.
Shahid is the main character in the Raj and DK directorial Farzi, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi as a police officer. The official synopsis of the show is available.
