Farzi, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon is all set to release in February 2023. Raj and DK are launching Farzi on the digital platform after developing the Family Man franchise for Amazon Prime. Shahid Kapoor makes his digital acting debut in this series. The movie also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Raashi Khanna, and Kay Kay Menon but whose story specifics are being kept under wraps. It is presented as a crime thriller.
“Shahid Kapoor’s digital debut will happen in February 2023. The release plan is being chalked out at the moment, but Farzi is all set to be out for audience viewing before the closure of first quarter of 2023,” revealed a source. The source also stated that the trailer and other marketing materials will begin to spread about a month before the film's debut.
Shahid had previously voiced his delight at the digital debut at the Farzi launch. “It's so different from what we do in movies. I am nervous but excited. I always wanted to do something challenging and different. This story and character to me match every film that I have done. I can't wait for the audience to see it”, he remarked.
Shahid is currently filming with Kriti Sanon for the Dinesh Vijan production. It will reportedly be a unique robotic-based romantic comedy with an early 2023 release date. In addition, the actor appears in the Ali Abbas Zafar-directed film Bloody Daddy, which will shortly have its direct-to-digital debut on Jio's new platform. Additionally, the actor is attached to Anees Bazmee's comedy. The movie is anticipated to begin filming in March of the following year.
