Actress Rashmika Mandanna took to Twitter to share a heartfelt note about the late Puneeth Rajkumar. Sandalwood star Puneeth Rajkumar passed away in 2021 from a heart attack. His passing left a huge void in the Kannada film industry. Puneeth shared the with Rashmika for their action comedy Anjani Putra in 2017. The film clocked its fifth anniversary recently. On this occasion, Rashmika shared her experiences about working with Puneeth Rajkumar.

Made under the direction of A. Harsha, Anjani Putra had backing from M. N. Kumar. The movie had MNK Movies and Jayashreedevi Productions as producers. The film had Puneeth Rajkumar and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead. The film also starred Ramya Krishna, Mukesh Tiwari, and P. Ravi Shanka in major roles. Chikkanna also played a pivotal role. Coming to the technical crew, Ravi Basrur rendered the songs and background score for the film. and Swamy J looked after the film's camera work. In addition to this, the editing was done by Deepu S. Kumar. For the unaware, the drama was also remade in Tamil with the name Poojai in 2014. Rashmika Mandanna, meanwhile, is starring in Varisu, a family film starring Thalapathy Vijay.
