Ranbir Kapoor will make a cameo appearance in Vicky Kaushal’s Govinda Naam Mera. He made his film debut in 2007's Saawariya, which starred Sonam Kapoor. He gained popularity with the films Wake Up Sid, in which Konkona Sen Sharma also starred, and the romantic comedy Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, which also starred Katrina Kaif. He and Alia Bhatt welcomed their first child, Raha, on November 6, 2022, and he is already enjoying being a parent. The actor was most recently seen in the successful movie Brahmstra: Part One - Shiva. He is also scheduled to make a cameo appearance in Govinda Naam Mera.
There are rumors that Ranbir may appear in the dance song Bijli, which also stars Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal. Bhumi Pednekar also stars as the lead in Govinda Naam Mera. Praak, Sachin-Jigar, and Rochak Kohli composed the movie's soundtrack. Govinda Naam Mera will debut on Disney+Hotstar on December 16, 2022.

Ranbir will next appear alongside Shraddha Kapoor in Luv Ranjan's untitled romantic comedy. Ranbir also has director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's gangster drama film Animal. Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol are in pivotal roles in the film.
