The last time audiences saw Ranbir Kapoor on the big screen was in Ayan Mukerji's grandiose sci-fi superhero drama Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva. However, it has now been revealed that the actor will appear in more films this year.
Ranbir will make a brief cameo appearance in the upcoming movie Govinda Naam Mera from Dharma Productions. To be more specific, he will appear in the dance tune "Bijli," which also stars Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani. The creators just recently posted the song online. They obviously did not reveal Ranbir's section since it would spoil everything for the fans.
It's interesting to note that Ranbir has appeared in cameos in other Vicky Kaushal movies as well. He did the same in Love Per Square Foot in 2018, when Vicky was a newbie. In addition to this, Ranbir has appeared in the Marathi film Bucket List. The movie stars Madhuri Dixit, and Rajkumar Hirani's PK. Given that Madhuri had previously performed a cameo in Ranbir's hit Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, her appearance appeared to be retaliation.
The movie is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. It is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan under the banner Dharma Productions. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. It is scheduled to start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on December 16.
