Opinion: Chiranjeevi Seems To Be Stuck On Acharya's Failure

Megastar Chiranjeevi has finally managed to score a hit, and the fact that he did it for Sankranthi, is a major celebration for him and his fans. He was last seen in Godfather, and while the film was received well, it was largely ignored, as it was a remake. Waltair Veerayya, directed by Bobby Kolli, is an original film, and with the director having succeeded in showing Chiru in his vintage look, the movie has been received extremely well.

Chiru has been heaping praises on director Bobby since the very beginning. After the release of the film, the praises have only increased. At every press meet, pre-release event and success meet, Chiru has been praising Bobby immensely. He thanked the director for taking his suggestions and for showcasing him the right way. This has gotten everyone talking about how Chiru did the same with Mohan Raja, during Godfather. Many times, Chiru spoke indirectly about Koratala Siva, taking a dig at the director. The actor now seems to be doing the same, with certain comments especially. With that, the popular opinion going around is that Chiru is still not over Acharya's failure. Acharya had good expectations on it prior to its release. However, after release, the film turned out to be a huge disaster. The film was criticised for the lack of a proper story, and an old concept. Pooja Hegde was a part of this movie, for which Mani Sharma was the music director. The film ended up to be a huge financial loss.
