Filming of the project was completed on September 18.
There is a rumour that the movie would debut on April 14, 2023, which is Tamil New Year. The political drama "Maamanan," is directed by Mari Selvaraj and stars Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh, and Vadivelu in prominent parts. The movie features music by AR Rahman.
The movie's initial filming started in March 2022. The plot centres on the lives of politicians. In the film, Vadivelu plays the part of an MLA and Udhayanidhi's father. Fahadh Faasil plays the antagonist. Since director Mysskin only spent a little time in the location, it is assumed that he appears in a cameo role.
