While filming was expected to begin much sooner, the current news is that it will start once director Mari Selvaraj completes post-production work on his forthcoming film 'Maamannan' with Udhayanidhi Stalin. The production is expected to begin early next year.
According to reports, the film is a sports biopic based on the life of a Kabbadi player. Dhruv will play a sportsman who clawed his way from the remote hinterlands of Tamil Nadu to finally winning the nation's highest sporting honor and gold for his country at the Asian Games. Dhruv Vikram is slated to begin training shortly for this grueling sports drama.
Dhruv Vikram's third feature, following 'Adithya Varma' and 'Chiyaan 60,' will be produced by filmmaker Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions. The rest of the cast and crew will be unveiled when the project goes into production.
