Mamta Mohandas made her comeback in Kollywood with Enemy after almost a decade. The actress revealed that she is keen on making her comeback in Tamil. In an interview with The Times of India, Mamta said what kind of roles she is looking for.
Mamta Mohandas said, "Truth be told, I’ve had a couple of challenges in my own life. So, I wanted to make the whole process easier for me. I thought it made no sense to do extensive PR in another language when my hands were full with films in Malayalam. I had a health issue to take care of. I have had a couple of opportunities, but I am also very choosy. I have had great scripts from big productions come to me, but I am particular about playing the main lead. I don’t think I am someone who will sit right in just a couple of scenes or a supporting cast. I think I am a performer, and have everything that it takes to play a glam lead as well as do a role where performance is required. I prepare that much for my character and the film! I have found my place in Malayalam cinema, and I also want Tamil cinema to acknowledge me and give me the right opportunity. When I take up a film, I believe in it completely and give it my best shot. For me, there’s a big jinx when it comes to Tamil cinema and I need to break it.”
