Mamta Mohandas is set to appear in another Tamil film after starring in Anand Shankar's Enemy alongside Vishal and Arya. Thankar Bachan's Karumegangal Kalaiginrana will feature her as one of the leads.
According to a source, "the protagonists in the film are Bharathirajaa, Gautham Menon, and Yogi Babu." And the squad was anticipating a solid performance from Kanmani. They auditioned various women before settling on Mamta Mohandas."
Mamta also expresses her pride in "playing a significant role in the film."
The photography for the film, which also stars SA Chandrasekar and RV Udhayakumar, began on July 25 in Kumbakonam with a pooja. "The team will film in both Chennai and Rameswaram." According to the source, the title has also been altered from Karumegangal Yaen Kalaiginara to Karumegangal Kalaiginrana.
Thankar Bachan stated, "The film is based on a short story I wrote in 2003." I recently turned it into a script. The plot is quite realistic; the characters are individuals you would meet in real life... there is nothing fanciful about it. It's a moving drama about the intricacies of human connections." His other films, including Azhagi, Onbadhu Roobai Nottu, and Ammavin Kaipesi, were all based on his own writing.
He disclosed that the film will have two female characters, adding, "We have approached prominent actresses for the roles, and should have them on board shortly." We want to complete the picture in a single shoot."
