In January this year, actor Dhanush announced his seperation from wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The pair had been married for 18 years. So the news stunned the entire industry. The couple also has two children, Yatra and Linga.
Even though they formally declared their separation, the couple did not filed for divorce. The separated couple was last spotted together a few days ago at their son's school event. Unconfirmed stories of the pair intending to end their separation were circulating since then. In this instance, director Kasthuri Raja, Dhanush's father, reportedly discussed the rumours in a recent interview. He was asked about Dhanush and Aishwarya in the video. Kasthuri Raja responded that as parents, all they want is for their kids to be happy. According to reports, the filmmaker implied that Dhanush and Aishwaryaa's priorities as parents are Yatra and Linga. They will take their choices on what their children want.
On the professional front, Aishwaryaa recently released a video song she directed. As oer rumours, she is going to direct Rajinikanth soon. Naane Varuven, a new movie by Dhanush, was released last week. His recent Hollywood debut with "The Gray Man" also attracted a lot of notice. Vaathi, a bilingual movie from the director Venky Atluri and Captain Miller with Arun Matheswaran are also under production.
