Hera Pheri 3, one of the most recognizable franchises in Hindi cinema, will get a makeover in 2023. In the upcoming Hera Pheri movie, which may be a revival of the franchise, Firoz Nadiadwala has reportedly signed Kartik Aaryan to play the beloved role of Raju. We will soon learn the title, either Hera Pheri 3, Hera Pheri Reboot, or something else, once an official announcement is made.
“The paperwork and handshake happened a day back with Firoz Nadiadwala’s office. Kartik Aaryan has signed the dotted lines to play the iconic role of Raju, played by Akshay Kumar in Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri. Both Kartik Aaryan and Firoz Nadiadwala are keen to sign Anees Bazmee as the director, however, the filmmaker is yet to give a go-ahead from his end,” a source revealed. According to the source, “Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, who played Shyam and BabuRao in the earlier two films, will continue to reprise their roles”. Following Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Anees Bazmee would reunite with Kartik if he signs on. Farhad Samji is also listed as a potential director alongside Anees, but neither name has been given any prominence on paper as of yet.
According to rumors, the cast is experimenting with an interesting idea for Raju's part.
