When asked how he was able to take time off from his demanding film schedule for the inauguration, the young actor replied, “The moment he told me that there is an opening of his (Ajay Devgn) theatre here, of course, I came running. I am having so much fun here, in fact, that's what I had expected and I'm enjoying a lot more amidst everyone. I think it's a very big initiative in terms of how Ajay sir opened theatres big and we really need more theatres to open."
Kartik then made a surprise comment that had the audience cheering, saying, "I hope aage jaake main bhi ek theatre kholun" (In the future, I hope to open my own theatre as well). Fans in Ahmedabad jumped into a frenzy as soon as they saw the actor entering the theatre, proving that the young hunk always has a packed house. The superstar performed the iconic move from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which was well-received by the audience.
