Kartik Aaryan Discusses Trying Out A Fresh Genre With Freddy And Expresses His Excitement For The Opportunity

Recently, Freddy, a spine-chilling romantic thriller on Disney+ Hotstar, was launched. The movie, which was directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Balaji Telefilms Ltd, NH Studioz, and Northern Lights Films, will debut on December 2, 2022, only on Disney+ Hotstar, which will star Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F.

The most anticipated film from Kartik Aaryan, Freddy, follows the adventures of Dr. Freddy Ginwala, a shy, lonely, and socially awkward individual who enjoys playing with his model aeroplanes and whose only buddy is his pet turtle, Hardy. Freddy will have spectators on the edge of their seats with his unique turns, twists, and emotional chaos.

When asked what inspired him to explore Freddy and its dark universe, the actor responded, “I’ve always maintained that as an actor I’m very excited to try out different genres – I want to do all kinds of films, take on different characters and constantly push myself – Freddy was a complex script and character. It’s very layered and very challenging, both physically and mentally. Yet it was something that really excited the performer in me.”

The actor described how he went about getting ready for the part, saying, “Just like approaching any character, I had to observe and study the finer nuances of the walk, the talk, the tone, the small quirks, and habits. The biggest factor I gave importance to was trying my best to shake off the conventional image I have onscreen. I couldn’t be the fun and easy-going regular guy that people relate to – Freddy had to stand out despite being regular on the surface. On December 2, 2022, Freddy will debut exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
